Travel in Time with Words – It may be commonly used today, but did you know that the word “waterboarding” was first recorded in 2004?

Merriam-Webster, America’s leading dictionary publisher, launched Time Traveler at merriam-webster.com that allows users to explore all of the words first recorded in a particular year. Users can pick a year and view the words that were recorded at that time.
